Self-care and relationships

It's not debatable. We just need to take care of ourselves in any relationship we find ourselves in because we need to maintain our sanity, especially if you're used to always putting the other person first. It was a little difficult for me to take time for myself as I always wanted to prove a point to my partner. That weighed me down and it also affected me emotionally.

Sometimes relationship can weight you down, especially when your partner is very demanding and attention seeker. if you are in a relationship like this, there is a possibility that you are experiencing mental health issues. Self care is important but your partner also needs to understand that they shouldn't be too demanding. When your partner does not care for you much, your self care will not have a great effect on you.

It is always important to take care of your self both physically and mentally in any relationship you find yourself. Even in the midst of all the fun and chaos, one thing you must never compromise is self care. You have to prioritise self care as if your life depends on it and of course it does. No man or woman should make you feel less important in any relationship.

The sad thing is the fact that no matter what, your partner will stop caring about you, especially if the partner is materialistic. This is a really sad truth and harsh reality we must accept. Under such kind of conditions, it is always important to take care of oneself.

Balancing self-care and relationships can be tricky. Focusing too much on others may leave you drained, while prioritizing yourself excessively can strain bonds. Challenges include setting boundaries, communicating needs clearly, and managing guilt. Healthy relationships often require mutual respect, compromise, and time for personal well-being.
