Have you ever quit a job because of stress?

I quit my last job after 13 years,

I quit without another job lined up. I did put in my 2-weeks' notice and continued to do my job until the last day.

But I hated the job for the last 5 years. I hated it so much that I would stress myself into getting ulcers.

I stayed because of the money.

Then one day, I had enough, and quit.

Now I'm in a job I look forward to coming to each day. I make less but it doesn't matter. I'm happy.

What do you all think about this? Any related experience?

I quit my last job because of stress too. It was a mix of stress from the conditions I worked in and dealing with some people who didn't respect me. I even went to my supervisor about one of the people, but he basically said suck it up since the guy was retiring soon. I was there for five years and even took a pay cut when I got my current job but I love this job way more and it was worth it!

Yes, I was dealing with all sorts of stress and anxiety for about 10 years at Walmart, and I had to find a new job that wasn't so stressful. I made a big mistake of asking out a girl who was 10 years younger than me at the time, and I don't think we could ever see eye-to-eye, which caused us both stress. The workload itself was enough to cause a great deal of stress, but the girl I asked out caused even more. I'm pretty sure after that scenario, I will never plan to ask a girl out at my workplace again.

I remember back when I was around 4 months pregnant with my first child, I was working in a corner store for an extra source of income, and as much as I did enjoy working in that store, I found that the stress that came with the job, including how strict my boss was and the stress from some customers who were outright rude made it too stressful for me to stick with the job and for the sake of my own health and the health of my baby at the time, I had to make the decision to quit the job and look at alternatives.
