Have you been in a workplace that you carry the weight of expectations. When things break down and systems are failing, everyone looks up to you to make it work. It gets worse when you are trying your best to make it work and other members of the team are acting impatient. You want to react but you can't react. No one knows you are at the verge of breaking down.

How do you handle the stress and pressure of being the "person that everything revolves around" in the workplace?

Being the “go-to person” at work can feel rewarding, but it often comes with hidden emotional pressure.

You’re expected to fix problems quickly, stay reliable, and absorb last-minute tasks, which can lead to constant mental load. Over time, this creates stress, fatigue, and a feeling that you can’t really switch off.

It also blurs boundaries, because people start relying on you by default.

I sometimes experience workplace pressure. When everything depends on you, the pressure builds quietly. The hardest part is carrying it without showing cracks. What helps is setting clear limits, communicating early, and remembering that being reliable doesn’t mean carrying everyone’s weight alone. Stress eases when responsibility is shared, not silently absorbed.
