Putting off an uncomfortable conversation often makes it even harder later. Why do people avoid these discussions? Have you ever wished you'd spoken up sooner?

I think we avoid difficult conversations because we worry about conflict, hurting someone's feelings, or making the situation worse. It's often easier to stay silent in the moment, even if that creates bigger problems later. Most of the time, honest and respectful conversations go better than we expect.

I think people avoid difficult conversations because they're afraid of conflict, hurting someone's feelings, or making things worse. Most of the time, though, avoiding it only adds more stress. I believe speaking up early, with honesty and respect, usually leads to a better outcome.
