Digging in the dirt and watching plants grow is so calming. Have you tried gardening? How does it help you with mental health? Do some plantes give more pleasure than the others?

Gardening as therapy reduces stress, boosts mood, and improves focus. Pulling weeds or planting seeds can be surprisingly healing, especially after a long or anxious day.

I am not heavily into gardening but I have somw houseplants. Many people find it relaxing because it gets them outdoors, gives them a sense of routine, and provides the satisfaction of seeing something grow over time. Flowers often bring immediate enjoyment with their colors, while growing herbs or vegetables can be especially rewarding because you get to use what you've grown.

I can definitely see why so many people find gardening calming. There's something satisfying about caring for a plant and watching it grow over time. The slower pace encourages patience, gets you outdoors, and gives you a break from screens and everyday stress.

Many gardeners say they enjoy flowers for their color and fragrance, while herbs like basil, mint, or rosemary are especially rewarding because you can use them in cooking. Others find vegetables such as tomatoes or peppers particularly satisfying because they can literally enjoy the fruits of their effort. In the end, the best plants are usually the ones you enjoy caring for and watching thrive.
