Forums and social platforms offer support, but they may not replace in-person relationships. Do online spaces help or limit real emotional connection?

While online communities aren't replacement of in person therapy or peer-to-peer real communication, they do certainly help, especially to those who want to remain anonymous. A lot of people find comfort interacting with like minded people online

Online spaces can both help and limit emotional connection. They help by offering accessibility, anonymity, and support from people with shared experiences, especially when in-person options are unavailable. However, they can lack depth, nonverbal cues, and consistency, which are important for strong emotional bonds. They work best as a supplement, not a replacement, for real-world relationships.
