Have any of you seen this movie?

Honestly, I think movies depicting mental illness might be a good idea. It shows the treatment process, an escape away from the institution, and then of course, the melt down and reinstitution.

I think movies like these are good for folks who have issues like those.

What do you all think?

P.s. 1999, man those were the good times :D

I have watched the movie. Girl, Interrupted offers a raw look at life inside a psychiatric hospital and the complexity of mental health struggles. It humanizes the experience, showing how diagnoses, personality, and environment interact, helping viewers understand the emotional and social realities behind clinical conditions.

Girl, Interrupted is often considered a good movie because it feels raw and character-driven. It focuses on personal struggles, relationships, and identity rather than just plot, and performances, especially by Angelina Jolie, add emotional depth and realism. In terms of mental health, it does some things well. It shows how complex and human patients are, and how different conditions can look in real life.
