Have you ever been in a mental hospital?

Was there ever a time where you were in a mental health hospital or facility? I have a family member who had to go into one as they had a mental health breakdown, and I visited this person a few times while they were there. It was an odd feeling to be there, because there was a lot of people dealing with their own things. Thankfully, it looked like everyone was treated well there. If you've ever been to one, what was your experience like?

No, I have never been to mental hospital. I have seen people dealing with depression and have gone along with a person who was dealing with it. And it was good that this person got well in a month.

I am suffering from severe anxiety and depression. I also have OCD and other mental disorders but I have never been to a mental hospital. Currently I am being treated by my Honourable and Respectable Neurologist.

Not myself, but I’ve visited people in mental hospitals. It was eye‑opening and made me more aware of how complex mental health struggles can be. However, I have a couple times been to psychologist in a private clinic

I have visited the mental ward of a hospital but I have never been exclusively in mental hospital. Unless you are going for self treatment I guess being in a mental hospital can be a scary experience, especially when you get to see people suffering from various mental health issues.
