As a parent, what would be your reaction when you get to hear that your kid was bullied at school? Do you approach the teachers? Or do you go straight to the parents of the kid (s) that bullied your ward at school? What do you get to do so as to avoid such a situation repeating itself in the future?

This hasn't happened to my kid yet but if he is bullied, the first time I will do is call his teacher, and try to understand the situation. if it is actually true, I will then call the academic coordinator or the principal. It is better to handle the issue by the school administration. I would also teach my kid to defend himself if he is bullied.

I’m not a parent yet, but if I were in that situation, I’d start by listening to my child and taking their feelings seriously. I’d talk with the school, support my child emotionally, and help them build confidence and coping skills.
