ADHD isn’t just about focus. Many experience impulsivity, mood swings, or low self-esteem tied to repeated struggles at school or home. How often are co-occurring anxiety or depression overlooked in these cases? What combination of support and treatment helps teens and adults manage both attention and emotional challenges?

With my ADHD, I'm still constantly working on trying to keep it under control and keeping it from running amok with my life. It's something that I think I'll always be working on. I do take a medication and I believe that helps. But I'm going to have to see if there are other things I can do to help me with keeping the ADHD in check.....

ADHD impacts emotional health in ways beyond just attention. People often experience mood swings, frustration, low self-esteem, and heightened sensitivity to criticism. Impulsivity can strain relationships, and chronic stress from managing daily tasks may contribute to anxiety or depression over time.
