Exercise is often recommended for wellbeing, but not everyone finds the same activities enjoyable or sustainable. Which types of physical activity actually improve your mood, and which feel more like a chore?
Exercise usually helps clear my head and improve my mood, even if I don't feel motivated beforehand. It doesn't have to be an intense workout either. A walk, some stretching, or a short workout can make me feel more energized and less stuck in my thoughts.
swimming and cycling lift my mood instantly, they are fun and freeing. But weightlifting or running on a treadmill? Total chores, so boring. It's all about matching movement to your personality. If it feels like play, you'll stick with it. If it drags, skip it.
