Empathy, sympathy, and apathy affects your mental. Empathy means someone "feels" your suffering. Sympathy means someone "cares" about your suffering, and apathy means someone "doesn't care" about suffering. If someone is empathetic towards you, or even sympathetic, it can boost your mental health, however, when someone is apathetic, it might worsen your conditions.

What do you get from people around you empathy, sympathy or apathy?
 
Empathy can strengthen connection and emotional understanding, but too much without boundaries may lead to burnout. Sympathy creates distance but still allows care, often feeling emotionally lighter. Apathy, on the other hand, can protect from stress in the short term but may lead to disconnection and reduced emotional wellbeing over time. I have all sorts of people around me
