Wellness content often shows perfect routines and balanced lives. Does this motivate you or create pressure? How honest should influencers be about burnout and inconsistency? What kind of wellness content actually helps you stay realistic and consistent?

Many years ago, I read a research paper that concluded that fake positivity does not help you, in fact it makes you more miserable. Social media is promoting positive affirmation, but without witness positive changes in your life, these are nothing but trigger points for anxiety and stress.

Social media usually highlights achievements and curated moments, which can mask daily struggles, financial stress, or mental health challenges. This “positivity filter” can make viewers feel like everyone else is thriving, while real-life difficulties remain hidden behind carefully crafted posts.
