Mental health and dating: how do you navigate it?

People that are struggling with mental health don't usually find the right person to date. Even though they want to be loved, it's so difficult to find someone that would accept them with such conditions. Dating with mental health issues can be a serious problem. You might want to be honest, but you don’t want to overshare too early because the other person might change their mind.

How do you handle mental health conversations when you’re dating?

In such kind of cases, people usually never share the fact that they are suffering from mental conditions because people will judge them. My own family members started judging me when I started antidepressants. So, what can we expect from others?

You need to be honest with yourself and your partner about your needs and limits. Setting boundaries, communicating openly, and recognizing triggers can prevent misunderstandings. It also helps to pace the relationship, give importance to self-care, and seek support when needed.
