Staying up late despite exhaustion isn’t just bad time management—it’s often a subconscious way to reclaim personal time. People overwhelmed by daily demands sacrifice sleep to feel in control. But sleep deprivation worsens mental health. How can we balance responsibilities without losing rest?

That late-night feeling of finally having time to yourself is pretty real. I’ve stayed up longer than I should simply because the day felt like it belonged to everyone else. Finding small pockets of personal time earlier might make giving up those extra hours of sleep feel less frustrating.
