I come from India, the land of Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda. Ayurveda means the wisdom of long healthy life. And in the philosophy of Ayurveda, the human being is perceived in it's four fondness...body, mind, soul and spirit. So, the concept of a holistic well being goes beyond body and mind. It encapsulates the nurturing of soul as well as the spiritual healing too. Yoga and meditation are integral part of Ayurvedic practices. And in the current modern times, the relevance of Yoga and meditation is acknowledged. The whole world is coming together and encouraging these practices rooted deep in the ancient culture of India. Many cultures have such profound practices to offer. And they will be effective too. One just needs to be open to accept them and see them with reverence.
