Throughout my life and the stress I have experienced I have noticed that a lot of the stress I have dealt with has led me to end up with health issues that I now have to live with. Due to me being in a mentally abusive relationship for about 11 years that I was scared to get out of until I spoke up, the stress of being in the situation and not knowing if I would ever get out led to me ending up with stomach problems, Fibromyalgia and also acute migraines which I suffer with almost daily. I also now suffer with a hiatal hernia which tends to flare up when I am most stressed.

Have you had any symptoms that you noticed when you are stressed? Have they affected your health at all?

When I am stressed, my eyes would be itchy and reddish. I would feel drowsy most of the time and a slight sharp headache would set in. All I need at that point is to rest. And when I am done resting, all those symptoms would go away.

When I’m stressed, I often feel tense, with headaches and tight shoulders. My heart sometimes races, and I get stomach discomfort. Sleep becomes difficult, making me feel exhausted. I also notice changes in appetite, either overeating or losing interest in food. Over time, it affects my overall health.

When stressed, I notice headaches, tense muscles, and trouble sleeping. My appetite sometimes changes, and I feel mentally foggy or irritable. These symptoms remind me to slow down and practice calming habits before stress harms my overall health.
