Academic group work, or group work in workplace, often involves deadlines, communication, and social coordination, which can become difficult during periods of emotional instability. What challenges do group projects create for you? How do you manage expectations within teams?

I find group projects stressful at work. That happens because effort is often uneven, communication can be slow, and you end up relying on others who may not match your pace or style. It creates pressure when deadlines approach. I manage it by breaking tasks early, assigning clear ownership, and keeping regular updates.

I find group projects stressful because everyone works at a different pace and communicates differently. It can be hard to coordinate schedules, divide responsibilities fairly, and trust that deadlines will be met. Sometimes managing the group feels harder than the actual project itself.

Group projects aren’t always stressful, it really depends on the people involved and how the work is shared. For some, they feel easier because tasks are divided and there’s support from others. But they can become stressful when communication is unclear, effort levels are uneven, or expectations don’t match. Personality differences also matter. Some people prefer full control, while others are comfortable relying on a team.
