Busy environments, loud sounds, or constant interruptions can increase stress and emotional overwhelm. This is common in trauma-related and psychotic conditions. What daily triggers affect you most? How do you reduce environmental stress?

Everyday noise or activity can trigger emotional reactions because the brain links certain sounds or situations with past stress or overload. When someone is already tired or overwhelmed, even small stimuli feel amplified, making reactions stronger than the situation itself really warrants.

I can relate to that. Constant noise and interruptions can be exhausting, especially when you're already stressed. I find that having a quiet space, limiting notifications, and taking short breaks helps. What environmental trigger affects you most? Have you found any strategies that consistently reduce the overwhelm?
