Have you been sacked from a job?

One thing that's very common in being an employee is that you can be hired by a company and they can fire you at anytime unless there's a contract signed on when they are supposed to sack you and conditions that can lead to being sacked.

In all the years that you've worked for other people's businesses, have you been sacked?

I don't think it's fair that a company ask that you give them a 2 week notice if you're going to leave but they can sack you and make you leave that day. You don't know what is going on with your employees when they leave work and what they do outside of work. They could be fixing to have a family or have to take care of a sick parent........if you were to sack them at that point in time then you're leaving them in the lurch.

I've had two instances where I've been sacked and it was not fun. You're flying around in a panic trying to find another job while the bills are piling up. Right now is the first time in my life where I kind of have another job opportunity on stand by so if I get sacked from my current job then I'll have somewhere to go to straight away.

Well, I have never been sacked from a job, however, once when an employer threatened me to fire, I resigned before they could sack me. Getting sacked is certainly a hard thing because it is against your dignity.

This!

The two instances where I got sacked weren't my fault but they sacked me anyway. But I'm the one that had to suffer for it though.....like you said, it goes against your dignity.
