Why is it difficult to explain mental exhaustion to others?

Do people sometimes assume you are just tired or lazy when you are actually mentally overloaded? How do you usually explain what mental exhaustion feels like for you?

I think it’s hard because mental exhaustion isn’t visible. You can look fine on the outside but feel completely drained inside. Since there’s no clear physical signal, people often compare it to normal tiredness, which doesn’t really capture how heavy or slow everything feels mentally.

I think that happens quite often. Mental exhaustion can be hard to see from the outside, so it may look like laziness when it's really overwhelm. To me, it feels like having too many tabs open in your mind at once, making even simple tasks take more effort than usual.

There is nothing you will tell me that won't be an easy task because from the observation I have made it's going to make you shy and sometimes fear or humiliation and emotional factor is one of such
