Many people are already addicted to their smartphones, tablets and other tech devices. It is almost like a coping mechanism such that they can't be themselves if their phones or other tech devices goes off.

Is smartphone and tech devices addiction something that we should worry about or it is just normal?

Yes, phone and device addiction is worth worrying about. Excessive screen time can affect sleep, focus, and mental health, leading to anxiety, stress, and social disconnection. While devices are essential tools, overreliance can subtly erode well-being if left unchecked.

I think that smartphone addiction is something that is worth worrying about. People are having short attention spans because of smartphone addiction. Some people can't focus on something without getting distracted along the line. Talk about the social disconnect that smartphones have brought too.

It is something to be worry about. Excessive use of phone or device use can affect attention, sleep, and mental health, and sometimes even social skills. Occasional use isn’t harmful, but when it starts interfering with work, relationships, or wellbeing, it’s worth taking steps to manage it.
