Personally, I don't think anyone whom have had any part of their body amputated due one health problem or another ever remains the same.
A friend who suffered from Cohorns disease lost two of his legs and since then he was never the same. He sank so deep in depression that he no longer talk to anyone. I wish I could do more to help him out.
Another family friend lost one of his legs as a result of his serious diabetes and he gave up the ghost 1 month after his leg was amputated.
Do you know anyone who became seriously depressed after going through any body part amputation?
