Anxiety and intuition both trigger gut feelings, but one is fear-based, while the other is wisdom-based. Anxiety jumps to worst-case scenarios, while intuition provides quiet insight. Learning to differentiate them can reduce unnecessary stress. Have you ever mistaken anxiety for intuition?

When it comes to gut feeling, I have come to realize that anxiety would always scream and make all the danger signals to go off. Intuition actually is calmer. To get the difference between both, I always practice mindfulness when that gut feeling comes.

When your gut feeling comes from anxiety, it always activates the fight or flight sensitivity in your consciousness. That's why that gut feeling most times comes with racing heart and some jittery sensations. When it comes from intuition, it always come with some calmness and clarity. No frantic pulse.

Learning to distinguish anxiety from intuition can be tricky. Anxiety often feels urgent, repetitive, or fear-driven, while intuition tends to be calm, clear, and subtle. Paying attention to your physical cues and the context of decisions can help you know when to trust that gut feeling.
