Are Changing Family Structures Affecting Emotional Support Systems in Society?

Joint families are becoming less common, with more nuclear households. Does this reduce emotional support, or increase independence? How does this shift affect wellbeing?

I think changing family structures like smaller households, single-parent families, or dual-income homes can affect traditional emotional support networks. People may rely more on friends, community, or digital connections, which can work but sometimes lack the stability and depth of extended family support.
