There have been studies that have established being too kind always is harming your physical, mental, as well as emotional health. Always saying yes, always smiling, always staying silent to avoid conflict might look perfect on the outer level but deep inside you your mind and body is undergoing constant stress. As you push down anger and frustration, your brain becomes alert, stress hormones begin to build up, which in the long run affects your immune system, and might cause autoimmune diseases.

I am not aware of any stufies but I believe being overly kind without boundaries can affect you in all three areas.
Mentally, it can lead to overthinking, guilt, or burnout when you constantly put others first. Emotionally, you may feel drained or unappreciated if your kindness isn’t reciprocated. Physically, ongoing stress can contribute to fatigue and tension.
Kindness itself isn’t the problem, it’s the lack of balance. You need to care for others without neglecting yourself.

There is some kind of truth here, but it needs some correction.

Being “too kind” in the sense of people-pleasing, never setting boundaries, or suppressing your own needs can definitely harm mental and emotional health. It often leads to burnout, resentment, anxiety, and chronic stress because the person is constantly overriding their own limits to avoid conflict or gain approval.

Where it becomes exaggerated is the idea that kindness itself or suppressed emotions directly cause specific physical diseases like autoimmune conditions in a simple cause-and-effect way. The science there is much more complex. Chronic stress can influence immune function and overall health, but it’s not accurate to say “being kind causes autoimmune disease.”

I don' think kindness alone affects you negatively. However, when you are kind over the expense of your wellbeing, it can affect you mentally, emotionally, and also physically. You need to be kind towards other people but not in a way that it might have negative effect on you.
