Can stress or lack of sleep trigger sleepwalking?

I've read that stress and a lack of sleep can increase the chances of sleepwalking. This is why people are encouraged to try as much as possible to cut down on their stress and sleep well at night.

If you've experienced this, did you notice either stress or sleep loss playing a role, or was it triggered by something else?

Stress and lack of sleep are some of the reaaons rhat can make sleepwalking more likely in people who are already prone to it. Being overtired can disrupt normal sleep patterns, and emotional stress may increase the chances of an episode. Keeping a regular sleep schedule and managing stress can often help reduce how often sleepwalking occurs.
