Can taking drugs alone solve mental health issues?

There are those in some quarters who believe that taking just drugs is never enough to handle mental health problems.

To them, the patient needs lots of care from those who he or she loves as such emotional support can come in handy in making them become much better.

Do you agree with such a school of thought?

Yes, some mental health conditions can be entire solved by taking proper medication. My wife was under medication for anxiety, medicines entirely stopped anxiety attacks. They haven't come in the last 8 years. However, it is advisable that you go for therapy, lifestyle modification along with medication as a full proof for treating mental health conditions.

No, taking drugs alone usually isn’t enough. Medication can help manage symptoms, but therapy, lifestyle changes, social support, and healthy routines are often essential for long-term mental health.

I'm one of those people that believe that different things work for different people.

- For some people, the medicine is enough to help them with their mental health issue(s).
- For some people, some form of therapy may be able to help them with their mental health issue(s).
- For some people, the medicine may not work at all or may not be enough. If it's not enough then they may have to use the medicine and therapy or some other method to help them with their mental health issue(s).
