Here in Canada there is A LOT of support and help when it comes to emergencies, crisis support and mental health.

I've decided to create a list of those supports so it's easier for people to access:

Immediate Emergency Call 911

Suicide Crisis Help Line (This is new to Canada) Call or text 988. This is free and confidential

Talk Suicide Canada (Another suicide crisis helpline) 1-833-456-4566 (24/7) Text: 45645 (4 PM – 12 AM EST) Website: www.talksuicide.ca

Kids Help Phone 1-800-668-6868 (24/7) Text: CONNECT to 686868 www.kidshelpphone.ca

Hope For Wellness Helpline (For Indigenous people) Available in French, English, Cree, Ojibway, and Inuktitut upon request. 1-855-242-3310 (24/7) Chat: www.hopeforwellness.ca

Wellness Together Canada www.wellnesstogethercanada.ca Free online resources, counselling, and peer support for mental health and substance use.

Trans Life Peer support run by and for trans people. 1-877-330-6366

LGBT Youth Line (Ontario-based, Canada-wide help)
Support for LGBTQ2S youth (up to age 29). Text/Chat: www.youthline.ca

ShelterSafe Find local shelters for women and children escaping violence. www.sheltersafe.ca

Assaulted Women's Helpline Support in multiple languages. 1-866-863-0511 (24/7) or #SAFE from most cell phones

If you or someone you know is struggling reach out to these support lines, they can help save lives ❤️

I do not live in Canada, but I think that the Canadian government has established a fairly good helpline system that might help people. In case if the government is collecting taxes in a better way, them they are the ones who are responsible for making things easier for public.
