Cycling and Stress

Have any of you ever tried cycling to help you reduce your stress?

If yes, what sort of cycling do you get into?

If no, what's stopping you?

I don't know how to ride a bike. When I was a kid, I tried learning and I fell multiple times and injured badly. I was so scared that I stopped learning. I can now try learning it but since I enjoy walking, and hiking it never occurred to me to go back to learn cycling. However, I believe cycling would be very helpful to reduce stress.

I have tried cycling to reduce stress. I usually go for casual road cycling around my neighborhood or nearby parks. It helps me clear my mind, enjoy some fresh air, and get light exercise without feeling pressured or competitive.

I’m really into cycling but my son does. Once in a while, I do pick up his bicycle to ride. And honestly it's indeed a quiet stress reliever for me. It's nothing polished. I just ride and let my thoughts wander a little bit. No notifications, no calls, just me and my road movement. It helps clear my head in a way gym never did.

I haven't tried this. I know how to ride a bicycle but I haven't ridden one in quite a while. Maybe this can be something to do on a pretty day.
