Sleep problems often worsen depression, and depression can disturb sleep cycles. Therapies like CBT-I and sleep hygiene help. Have you noticed improvement in mood when your sleep patterns improve?

Depression can have an affect on your sleep schedule. I know for me, when I am really down, there are some nights I have trouble sleeping. Or if I do fall asleep, I will often wake up often through the night. I toss and turn sometimes and that bugs me. I know depression will keep me up in the morning when I want to sleep in.

But yeah, getting a good nights sleep is ideal to our brain health. Not getting enough sleep can cause problems with your day to day life. I know I have had trouble working when I can't get any sleep.

When my sleep patterns improve, I usually notice a lift in mood and better focus during the day. Better sleep really seems to stabilize emotions and reduce irritability, making daily challenges easier to handle. Troubled sleeping patterns might cause a lot of issues including depression and anxiety

I have known that insomnia is a sure sign of depression for me. Whenever I am depressed, I would surely struggle to sleep. Even when I manage to sleep, I won't be able to have a deep quality sleep. My mental state when depressed doesn't really allow me to find sleep easily or even sleep well.
