Do you believe that politics will have an affect on Gen Alpha's mental state?

Now I know that Gen Alpha are children and can't fully understand politics. However I truly do believe that the current political landscape will negatively affect how Gen Alpha is raised even if they don't understand politics. You see politicians sticking their noses in things they have no clue what they're even talking about. I mainly am talking about politics in the United States since this is the country I live in, though I would love to hear your input on this if you live outside the US too.

I think politics can affect Gen Alpha’s mental state, but not in some uniquely apocalyptic way. Politics shapes the environment they grow up in: education policy, economic stability, technology regulation, social rights, and even the tone of public discourse. Constant exposure to polarized political content, especially through social media, can increase anxiety, confusion, or cynicism if kids absorb conflict without context.

At the same time, awareness isn’t inherently harmful. Learning how systems work can build critical thinking and civic understanding. The bigger factor is how they encounter politics: thoughtful education and discussion tend to ground people, while nonstop outrage-driven content tends to distort perspective.
