Since I have mental health issues, I
enjoy TV shows that explore or discuss mental
health topics. However, those TV shows must be sensitive about this matter. They should do it carefully to avoid looking exploitive and others. What can you say?

Frankly speaking, I haven't watched any shows that specifically explores mental health, however, I have watched a lot of movies exploring metal health themes. I really likes those movies. Some of my favorite movies are Girl Interrupted, One Flew Over Cuckoo's Nest, Rainman, etc.

Yes if it's done right I enjoy it when sitcoms get real for a moment. Not all sitcoms get this right though, older ones would often use mental health as a butt of a joke.

Yes watching tv shows that explore mental health themes seems to be nice its going to educate you and help you stay up to date, thou sometime i miss the program

I enjoy TV shows that explore mental health when the subject is handled naturally. A good show can make characters feel more realistic and show struggles that people don’t always talk about openly. I also like when mental health isn’t used only as a dramatic plot device.

I think people who haven’t experienced mental health problems can still understand a lot from these shows, especially when the characters are written realistically. Personally, I like when a show shows the everyday side of mental health rather than only extreme situations. That can make the subject easier to understand without making it feel exaggerated.
