What's the wiredest thing which depression have made you feel or have to suffer and go through all the time? A friend of mine told me last week about how she's constantly having to battle with bad mood swings all the time because of her depression.

Does anything like this happens to you or another thing altogether?

Depression can involve mood changes, but it’s not the same as classic mood swings like in bipolar disorder.

In depression, people often feel persistently low, numb, or irritable. However, mood can still shift during the day, especially in response to stress, fatigue, or triggers. Some people also experience mixed features, where sadness and agitation appear together, which can feel like rapid emotional changes.

While depression is often associated with persistent low mood, many people also experience changes in their emotions throughout the day. They may feel sadness, irritability, emptiness, frustration, or brief periods of feeling better before their mood drops again.
However, dramatic or rapid mood swings are more commonly associated with conditions such as Bipolar Disorder or some other mental health conditions.
