Fear of judgment or being seen as incapable can make reaching out feel intimidating, at work or school/college, even when support is available. What makes these conversations hardest? What approaches have helped you ask for support?

What makes it hardest is worrying about being judged, misunderstood, or seen as less capable, especially in competitive environments. It can feel easier to stay silent than risk that perception. What helps is keeping requests simple, focusing on specific support needed, and reminding yourself that asking early often prevents bigger problems.
