Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder

Unfortunately sometimes parents consume alcohol while pregnant and their child can develop what's known as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, or FASD for short. This disorder also tends to go misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed quite often. Some children affected by this disease may have different facial features, but this only happens in 10% of those with FASD. Individuals with this disorder have also been found to have other mental disorders such as ADHD and Conduct Disorder.
