Losing loved ones to violence can trigger prolonged grief disorder, where mourning becomes chronic. How can communities balance remembrance with healing? Are cultural rituals enough, or do they need clinical mental health interventions to truly recover?

Families of war victims often face prolonged grief that can develop into complicated grief disorders. Trauma, loss, and disruption of social support worsen mental health outcomes. Access to counseling, community support, and culturally sensitive interventions can help families process loss and reduce long-term emotional and psychological harm.

Well, soldiers get sacrificed on the borders and their families know that their life is at stake, so they should be mentally prepared for that. It is easier said than done. Being a soldier is a very tough job. You may never know when you may need to sacrifice your life. In many countries soldiers are willing to sacrifice their lives for their country. Iran is one such brave country and we salute Iran.
