Have you ever stopped taking your medication? If so, why?

Was there ever a reason you stopped taking medication? Maybe it was affecting your mind too much and you didn't like the way it was acting, or you couldn't afford to keep buying them due to insurance and other issues. Only time I ever stopped taking medication was when I was on Wellbutrin, as I started having weird side effects. I believe I discussed what that was in another topic, so I won't repeat myself here.

With that being said, what about you guys? If you did stop taking medication, what was your reasoning for doing so?

Medication has helped me a lot, but I believe that medications alone won't fix the problem. I have taken medications but stopped taking them for various reasons. I was not able to afford medications and medication had severe side effects which I was not able to tolerate. They helped me but they did not primarily target the main problem.

I used to do my best when it comes to completing my meds especially when they are antibiotics. This is because I understand the implications when I don't. I can't waste my money to pay for drugs, only to dump them.
