Depression can affect energy, concentration, motivation, and emotional responses, which may change how someone handles disagreements. They might avoid the conversation or struggle to explain themselves. How can depression influence relationship arguments, and how can partners avoid misunderstanding these changes?

Depression affect how people handle conflict. They can withdraw or struggle to express themselves. So, in that case, people involved need to understand and handle things with maturity.

Depression can make arguments feel much harder to deal with. Some people shut down and stop responding, while others get irritated over things they’d normally brush off. Even a small disagreement can feel overwhelming, especially when someone is already struggling. It can be difficult for both people to understand what’s happening without taking every reaction personally.
