Disrespect can cause a lot of mental health issues. You might experience stress, anxiety, or low mood. When you are disrespected, how do you deal with?
For me distance is the only answer to disrespect. I avoid reacting or arguing; I try not to dive into the drama. I just keep a distance, I remove my presence from the place where i am disrespected.
What about you?

I deal with disrespect by staying calm first so I don’t react emotionally. I try to respond clearly and address the behavior directly when needed. If it continues, I reduce my engagement or walk away. For me, the goal is protecting my peace without escalating the situation.

Distance feels like the healthiest response in many situations. Stepping away can prevent escalation and protect your mental space, especially when the other person isn’t open to understanding or respect. It creates room to think clearly instead of reacting emotionally in the moment.

That said, I think the best approach depends on context. Some situations benefit from calm communication and setting boundaries, while others really do require leaving the environment entirely. The main thing is choosing what protects your well-being without getting pulled into unnecessary conflict.

There are so many ways which we can deal with disrespect some of those function is by keeping silent and watch the music play,or you can react later to stay safe immediate reaction can lead to conflicts
