Survivors of trauma often struggle with trust or vulnerability. How can partners build closeness without triggering fear or discomfort?
 
I think that slowly starting to build trust can help to overcome feeling of vulnerability after a traumatic experience. One person, one system at a time, give them chances to prove themselves. And overtime, a traumatized person can overcome that vulnerability.
 
Maintaining emotional intimacy after trauma takes patience and care. Open communication, honesty about feelings, and active listening are essential. Setting boundaries, seeking professional support, and sharing small, meaningful moments help rebuild trust. Over time, consistency, empathy, and mutual understanding strengthen connection despite past pain.
