If you are staying in a country that is not the USA,  you will notice that your local currency will always have to be compared to the dollar as the dollar is a unique currency that is used as a base to measure the strength of other currencies. So, when measured against your local currency, how strong is it?

£1 is equal to 1.25$ currently. It did used to be equal to a lot more in dollars, but with the recent cost of living crisis and financial situation in the UK, the value had significantly dropped. I would say it's reasonably strong compared to other countries.

The local currency of my country is very weak against the dollar. So weak that there are two markets for the dollars. The official market where government subsidizes the cost of trying dollars and the black market.
