Narcissistic Personality Disorders (NPD) can be challenging to handle when you are experiencing it as you will find it difficult handling your relationships better. When you notice that you are suffering from this disorder, what are the steps that you take in handling such?

Dealing with someone who has Narcissistic Personality Disorder in a relationship can be emotionally exhausting. Have seen some people with this conditions and I think setting boundaries can help. Without them, their need for control or validation can overwhelm you. Clear communication is necessary, but expecting deep emotional reciprocity may lead to frustration.

I think you should focus on not taking things personally, as narcissists often lack empathy. It helps to communicate clearly, stay calm during conflicts, and seek support if needed.

It's been said to have nothing to do with them. Do you all feel that's too extreme?

I’ve found setting boundaries is very important. Communicating clearly and calmly helps, but it’s important to protect my emotional health. Sometimes, distance is needed to avoid feeling drained or manipulated.

Thankfully, this hasn’t happened to me, but I have friends who have had to deal with it. They said setting clear boundaries, limiting emotional dependence, and seeking support from trusted people helped them maintain their well-being while navigating those challenging relationships.
