Publishing private information exposes victims to real-world harm. Once shared, it is almost impossible to undo. Yet consequences for perpetrators are rare. Should doxxing carry stronger legal penalties? How can platforms act faster when personal safety is at risk?

Doxxing certainly is one of the most dangerous forms of digital violence. Even when you book the culprit, it is not possible to help the victim because it is impossible to find out where the information has been shared, it is not possible to delete what is already shared.

Doxxing is extremely dangerous because it exposes personal information, leading to harassment, threats, or real-world harm. However, other forms like cyberstalking, revenge porn, or coordinated disinformation can also be severe. Its impact depends on context, but the personal and public nature of doxxing makes it particularly threatening.
