If this doesn't belong here feel free to move this thread but since I view taking marijuana counts as an alternative healing method. I know in some states in the US you still can't get marijuana even in a medical form so some people rely on the THC in marijuana to help manage their mental health and physical health. While one could view this as a negative and it might have a chance to go down the path of addiction and harder drugs, in most cases this doesn't seem to be the case. Marijuana is also starting to become more accepted in this day and age. Would you ever use Marijuana to help with your mental health or do you believe in other alternative methods?

Some people use marijuana to self-medicate symptoms like anxiety, stress, insomnia, or chronic pain because it can provide short-term relief or relaxation. However, the effects vary widely. For some, it may temporarily reduce tension or help with sleep. For others, it can increase anxiety, affect motivation, or worsen underlying mental health issues over time.

The main concern with self-medicating is that it can mask symptoms without addressing the root cause, and regular use may lead to dependence or reduced coping ability.
