Modern Hollywood vs Classic Hollywood

Is modern or classic Hollywood better? I find that the classic era seems to be more creative, but it's also less diverse. It's a tough answer for me but classic just has more interesting films.

I watch classic movies from around the world not just Hollywood. I think they had better characterization and treatment of the story in the past as compared to now. These days most movie makes are chasing money, therefore, they include overly commercial elements such as CGI.
