Depression can manifest in many ways, and it not just psychological and emotional pain. One common physical symptom is hair loss, you will see rapid hair loss when you have depression. However, there are more serious physical health problems like hypertension (high blood pressure). While hair loss can be addressed with treatments like transplants or wigs, high blood pressure caused by depression is a major health concern that requires urgent attention.

Some common physical symptoms of depression are fatigue, changes in appetite or weight, sleep disturbances, headaches, and body aches. I’ve seen how these symptoms often get overlooked but deeply affect daily life.

Depression often shows up physically, not just emotionally. Common symptoms are lack if energy or lack of interest in everyday work. Loss of appetite, losing weight, sleeping problems, headaches, body aches, and slowed movements. People may also notice digestive issues, low energy, or weakened immune response. Recognizing these signs alongside mood changes helps with early support and treatment.
