Speech Impairments

When I was a child, I had a speech impairment. I had to go to speech therapy to learn how to properly say words starting with the letter "L" as well as words that started with the letter "S" and "SH". I was able to learn how to pronounce words starting with the letter L quickly, but it took me a bit to learn how to properly say words starting with the letter s and even longer to properly say words starting with a sh. Did anyone else have this problem growing up?

No, I didn’t have that problem growing up, but I’ve known a few people who did. It’s more common than most people realize, and honestly, I admire how much work it takes to overcome something like that. Speech therapy can be tough, especially as a kid, so it’s impressive that you pushed through and made progress. Everyone has their own challenges growing up, yours just happened to be with speech, and it sounds like you handled it with a lot of determination.
