There are people that are obvious favourites children to their parents. While it feels good to be the preferred child, it comes with lots of mental pressure as the person grows.

They would always be under pressure to try and conform to being the favorite of their parents. They might face rejection from their other siblings.

This is why parents should not obvious favourite children in their homes to avoid a child having to struggle with all those mental pressures.

Being the obvious favourite child can sound like a privilege, but it often comes with hidden pressure. You might feel responsible for maintaining your parents’ expectations, living up to their pride, or even protecting your siblings’ feelings. It can create guilt, anxiety, and the constant need to perform or please. Some people find themselves suppressing their own needs just to keep harmony at home. Over time, this emotional weight can blur your sense of identity.

Thankfully wasn’t in that position myself, but I have seen how it can create guilt, especially if siblings feel overlooked. It can be hard to balance gratitude for love with the weight of comparison.

I am not the favorite child of my parents as I am unemployed. However, I can understand that being favorite comes with a lots of pressure. Having said that, being not a favourite child is not a bed of roses either. You must think about it. You are not favourite for a big reason.

I have never been my parents' favorite child. Their favorite is my older brother. It is not a good feeling not to be a favorite, but I guess life happens. I eventually learned to accept that fact.

I am my mom's favourite child and she always wants me by her side. She calls me to discuss everything. She is so concerned about me such that I feel like it is already an obsession. Being an obvious favourite child can come with lots of mental pressure because you have to consider your parents in all you do.
