When you are stressed out or burned out, there are exercises, activities, and techniques to make you feel relaxed instantly. One such activity I have discovered is putting your legs up against a wall. You lie on the floor with your back stretched and then raise your legs and put it up against a wall. It can make you feel relaxed instantly, eases your headaches, and even improve sleep pattern. Have you ever done it?

You can’t always switch into deep relaxation instantly, but you can quickly reduce tension.

Slow breathing helps calm your nervous system. Dropping your shoulders, unclenching your jaw, and relaxing your hands also signals safety to your body. Even briefly stepping away from stimulation or screens can make a noticeable difference.

I haven't tried this technique out but I'll be sure to try it out next time I'm stressed out and need to relax as soon as possible. I usually just listen to music to help me relax.

I have not tried this technique out as an adult, but I always remember that my brothers and I, when we used to play as kids, would often lie down on the floor and put our legs up against the wall, and thinking back, doing that always made me feel more relaxed, especially as a child who suffered with anxiety and quite badly.

I will need to give this a try to see how it helps me now that I am much older and under more stress. If it works, that is a bonus and something else that can help me.
